About this place
One diner’s account of pairing salt-grilled yellowtail collar with hot sake makes a lasting impression. Yumeya serves the small dishes and drinks you would expect at an izakaya, but it is also a dependable option when you want a proper meal in the early hours. The menu includes salt-grilled yellowtail collar, rolled omelette, pork kimchi, sashimi and fried dishes. You can start with a small plate or two, then move on to noodles or rice if you’re still hungry.
For a more substantial meal, consider pork-miso soup udon, curry udon or tonkotsu ramen. The ramen has been described as having a “rich yet not cloying, flavourful broth”. For a lighter finish, ochazuke (rice with tea poured over it) comes with a choice of plum, salmon or nameko mushrooms; one diner particularly enjoyed the salmon version.
Yumeya is open daily from 0:00 until 7:30, making it an option for a late-night drink or a meal in the small hours. Payment is cash only.
